Plans and Reporting Formats
The City of Grand Rapids, Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids Community College, Aquinas College, and the Grand Rapids Public Schools established the Grand Rapids Community Sustainability Partnership “CSP” (www.grpartners.org) in 2005. The purpose of the CSP was to share sustainable development best practices among its members and to develop sustainability plans and reporting formats for its endorsing partners.
Case Study two
Determining the Collective Impact of Sustainability at Grand Valley State University
This project determined the estimated collective economic impact of sustainability at the University in 2015 which totaled ~ $250MM. The areas covered included the major sustainability initiatives on campus and in the community among faculty, staff, and students.
Case Study three
Creating Sustainability Jobs in the Marketplace
This assignment assisted graduating students with finding an entry level sustainability position in the West Michigan marketplace, GVSU conducted several surveys with employers in the greater Grand Rapids area to determine an inventory of key desired sustainability skillsets for entry level employees and positions.
Case Study FOUR
Generating Sustainability Reports for Businesses
This program generated the first sustainability report for Innovateus Solar, a leading national solar developer with solar projects in 23 states.
