GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A 73-year-old building that once housed a pioneering grocery store has been transformed into mixed-income housing. ICCF Community Homes celebrated the opening of 15 new apartment homes at 2017 Eastern Ave. SE on Tuesday, May 19, in Grand Rapids. The $4.5 million redevelopment repurposes the underutilized rear portion of the property into eight one-bedroom and seven two-bedroom units.
